DECLARATION OF JOHN G. PETERSON

I, JOHN G. PETERSON, declare as follows:

1. I am an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California. I am counsel of record for the Church of Scientology of California (hereinafter “the Church”) in both the above-captioned action and in the case of Wollersheim v. Church of Scientology of California, et al., Los Angeles Superior Court Civil Action No. C 332 027. The statements herein are made of my own personal knowledge and, if called as a witness, I can and will testify competently thereto.

2. On February 28, 1986 Judge Ronald Swearinger, presiding over the trial of the Wollersheim case, ruled that plaintiff Wollersheim would be required to execute a knowingand informed waiver of the priest-penitent privilege prior toany inspection of the preclear files pertaining to him.

Executed this 3rd day of July, 1986, at Los Angeles,California.
