The Scientology v. Armstrong
case and oral argument are not in the 9th
Circuit, which is federal, but in the California (State) Court of
Appeal, First District, Division Four.
The Division Four Justices are:
Laurence D. Kay, Presiding Justice
Timothy A. Reardon, Associate Justice
Patricia K. Sepulveda, Associate Justice
Maria P. Rivera, Associate Justice
For oral argument, only Justice Rivera and a man she identified as
"Judge John Hunter who is sitting by special assignment from the San
Francisco Superior Court" were present.
Justice Sepulveda was not present but would listen to the oral
argument at a later time.
Here are bios for Justices Rivera and Sepulveda. I don't have any
information about Judge Hunter.
I will post a transcript of oral argument as soon as it's ready.
