The selfless concern and tireless work each of you has given to the rescue and recovery effort are greatly appreciated by your fellow New Yorkers. The renewed spirit of volunteerism, patriotism and civic pride evident after the tragic events of September 11th are the only solace we can take from such a horrible disaster. Our spirit of togetherness proves that we can unite and accomplish great things, including overcoming our deep wounds and grieving. I am sure that the commitment shown by your organization will be a continuing inspiration others. Keep up the great work!
