The same men who publish Torso Magazine put out Jock, with the only
difference that they use the name Jock Publishing Co. as the publisher.

Hot Male Review is published by MagCorp Publishing Company, Inc., whose
editorial offices are 7715 Sunset, Suite 214.

The office building of 7715 Sunset Blvd is on the Northeast corner of
Sunset and Genessee. On the southwest corner is Screen Actors Guild
(SAG). On the Northwest corner is K-BIG FM radio.

Sharing office space with Varsity is Modernismo Publications, Ltd.,
(whose main address is 155 Avenue of the Americas, 212- 691-7700), and
Music Masters International.

Modernismo is also a magazine publisher. Fred Manas is Vice President.
Modernismo and Varsity have employees who work for both companies.
Varsity is the custodian of records for both.

Music Masters International produces record-album covers.

None of the above are listed on the internal directory of the building.
Listed are SAG (3rd floor); Motion Picture Editors Guild - David Ross
Miller (who is an attorney); Lexiphone; an answering service; and one
or two others. In the Haines directory for 1985 the following are

This company was incorporated September 17, 1958. The president is
Joseph E. Von Stroheim, and the agent is Daryl Mitchell.

The building is assessed at $608,299 ($210,007 for the land and
$398,292 for improvements). The building itself was purchased Jan 30,
1959 by 7715 Sunset Blvd, Inc.

On January 24, 1985 Modernismo Publications, Ltd., and Varsity
Communications, Inc. (aka "Varsity") sued King Theatres aka King
Theatres aka King Theatre dba Century Theatre in a complaint for money.

Advertising was ordered by King Theatre to be placed in the following
mags: Mandate, Honcho, Playguy, Just Men, Studflix and Torso Magazine.
Varsity placed some of the ads. King Theatre did not pay the invoices
for such. Also, King did not run all the ads that were contracted to
be run.

Don Beavers is Vice President for advertising, and signs on behalf of
Torso.

Amount being asked for is $16,477.50 owed to Modernismo, and $5,785 to
Varsity for damages.

On September 23, 1985 a writ of attachment against King Theatres was
approved for $23,820.38 with a bond of $7500.

February 18, 1985 an LA County Tax Lien was issued against Varsity
Communications, Inc. for $48.94. Account #85/43003883. This is from
Recorder's office document #86-209848.

On November 7, 1985 an abstract judgment was issued in the Recorder's
Office in favor of creditors Modernismo Publications, Ltd., and Varsity
Communications, Inc. against Merrill Miller dba M&M Advertising, 11235
W. Magnolia Boulevard, N. Hollywood 91601. Case #142276 Van Nuys.

Attorneys for Varsity and Modernismo were Miller & Frisch
