Dear Mr. Atack:
The purpose of this letter is to notify you,
as the current
President of FACTNet ("Fight Against Coercive Tactics Inc."), of a
letter which was sent to the Internal Revenue Service concerning
FACTNet's submission of a fraudulent tax exemption application,
which resulted in FACTNet being granted tax exempt status last
year.
My interest is in FACTNet's circulation of
false
statements
about members of my Church, and propaganda designed to incite hate
against the Scientology religion, which violates the nonprofit
"educational" status upon which FACTNet based its exemption
application.
You should be aware of the full scope of the
situation so that
you can take any action which you deem appropriate from your
position. I have enclosed a copy of the letter which was submitted
to the IRS in February 1994 and a supplemental letter sent in
November 1994.
The exhibits to this letter can be forwarded
to you upon
your request.
